Accepted into FIDM!

So yes, as the whole world now knows from Facebook.. I have been accepted to attend the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise! I'll be majoring in Visual Communications at the SF campus. I specifically want to get into visual merchandising for retail stores.

I was a bit nervous for the interview but going into it, it was so chill and did not even seem like an interview at all!  It was more of just expressing who I was and explaining more about myself. How hard is it to talk about yourself?! YOU know ALL about yourself! So I say it was easy peaaazy :) For those who are looking into going to FIDM or are in the process of going, and question yourself or your passion and commitment, reaaaaaaally think about it and talk to the people who know you best. I knew for sure this is what I want to do, so I was not nervous at all and did not doubt myself during this interview. I was so confident, there was no way I was going to hear that I have not been accepted!

My admissions advisor is Laurel Gardner and she helped me sooo much! If it were not for her guidance, I would not have made it in successfully.

I'll be starting my first quarter in January! I'm planning to make a tumblr just for my whole FIDM experience, so look out for that! I know that a lot of perspective students (at least I know I have myself!) have looked for student blogs about their FIDM life. So I want to help other students out and allow them in my journey through FIDM and what happened through the application process. I need to make it first... so... come back and check for the link! This blog will be more of my personal blog, though I will post everything personal related to FIDM on my tumblr. Keep on the look out :)

Rock the Bells 2010

Okay, so I said I would blog on my tumblr about RTB, but I might as well just do it here.

Rock the Bells 2010 was beyond CRACKIN! It was fuckin.. EPIC. Ginger and I upgraded to VIP and got to met KRS and Murs. Murs is helllla chill! He's hella funny. He was amazed that I did my nails myself hahah. But anyway, before all that..

We were able to get good seats and sat in the middle front of the lawn. It was dumby HOT! Ginger, my brother, and I kept going back and forth to the main stage and paid dues stage.. We finally just took our stuff with us so we could watch Murs, 9th, and Wiz. Omg, Wiz was fuckin crackin! His set was the shit.

Ginger and I left before Wiz's set was over so that we could get good sets for Lauryn and stay for the rest of the performances on the main stage. By the time we got to the lawn, it was PACKED! You weren't even able to see empty green space hahah. But we still managed to get to the front :) Lauryn was amazing! I was in a way sort of disappointed, I think it could have been better.. But when Tribe came on! Oh maaaan, that shit was LIVE! They were hella killin it.. then.. THEN! WU-TANG!? They got shit poppin! It was soooo crackin. W's and weed in the air the whole time hahaha.

After Wu-Tang was Snoop. I was planning on leaving when he came on so that we could get the hell outta there before everyone else! But I decided to stay and I'm hellllla glad I did! He fuckin HELD IT DOWN for the West Coast!

I can not express how crackin RTB was, but I'm definitely making this a tradition to go every year. The line up was sooo fuckin dope! I still get excited looking at pictures and videos and shit haha. If you weren't there, you missed out!

Good Life

This summer is coming to an end, but it's only getting more exciting. I've been surrounding myself with good people and having good times! I just had an interview today at Nike that I think went very well. Rock the Bells is coming up and I think I'll finally pick up my tickets tomorrow. I have great plans in store for the rest of the summer! Hopefully I'll find the time to do them all. School is starting soon and I'm pretty excited! I'm exited to go to school, just not so soon. It's all good tho. I'm tryna live it up the rest of this summer! Who's with me! ;)
